Visrex® Europe

Visrex is the Viskase trademark for an exceptionally stretchable casing. Visrex Casings are ideal for use in the manufacture of products which have either a very pronounced or an extremely regular oval shape.

The applications for this casing are:
• Cooked oval sausages,
• Oval mortadellas,
• Haggis,
• Pieces of smoked or dried meat.

Visrex Casings are available in clear or smoke colour version. For sausages which have a tendency to fat out during processing, Visrex can be delivered in SL quality.

Two different versions, suited to increasingly automated production techniques, are available.

Conventional presentations requiring soaking:
• For pronounced oval shape finished products,
• Supplied in 20 meter bundles,
• Cut pieces, pre-tied,
• Cut pieces, not pre-tied
  • Supplied in 20 meter shirred sticks.

Presentations that do not require soaking:
• Ready for use,
• For extremely regular oval shape finished products,
• Supplied in 20 to 30 meter shirred sticks.
