Technical Data In North America this family of cellulose casing is made up of two casing types featuring varying degrees of stretchability. These casings are designed to give either a cylindrical or irregular shape to finished products, depending on the type of casing used, and cover a range of diameters from 2.07 to 9.55 inches (53 mm to 245 mm). In their various presentations, they are suited to the production methods used in the manufacture of high quality meat products, which they enhance thanks to their common advantages:

Storage and Handling Store in a cool, dry place away from steam pipes, hot storage areas. Best storage temperatures are 40° - 75° F (4° - 24° C) where ideal relative humidity is between 60 and 70%. Product Guarantees Product Guarantees are available through our Regulatory Affairs Department. The Product Guaranty is a legal document, stating that the Viskase Casing product complies with the United States Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Each guaranty is tailored to a specific Viskase Casing product, food application and customer, and must contain original signature to be valid. Contact your Viskase Sales or Customer Service Representative for more information on receiving a Product Guaranty for your processed meat product.
